Literally. Some 85 year old lady forgot what a stop sign is and pulled out into traffic. Hit her broadside at 45. Walked away thank god, but the car, she is not so good. And to add insult, the insurance company is trying to give me the shaft.

Pics in a few mins.
I can't put a figure on how much I put into the car. It WAS a perfect car though. Only had 106K on it. I did a lot of the work myself so labor goes out the window. I pulled the motor at 95 and redid the whole thing top to bottom. I put in Sirius and integrated V1 radar, H4 Flats on the lows and Aircraft landing lights on the highs, all roller suspension, ST sway bars, BBS wheels, bumper tuck (Front and Rear) I put a lot of time and money into it, and they think its work crap. I had it for sale off and on. I was asking $9K, would have probably took $8K for it. Their offer... about Half of that. They already tried to get me to settle for my medical... they offered $400. I think not. If I have to I am gonna Fight tooth and nail. This wasn't my DD it was my special occasion car. So I am in no hurry to settle and have already talked to a lawyer. I will not be pushed around. If i have to I will drag this out for months until I feel I have been properly compensated for my loss.Originally posted by VivekI was wondering about the penis too.

Be glad you are OK.
Just an FYI, you will always get the shaft with classic cars and insurance. They won't pay more than the blue book. We recently got Hagerty's on the e30 since it's over 25yrs old. $0 deductible, full coverage, $10,000 replacement, best part is it's only $280/yr and includes roadside service with guaranteed flat bed towing. You can't get it on your daily driver and you have to have a DD newer than the insured car. You also have to put less mileage on it that what you state when you applied the insurance.
Sorry about your loss, sweet car :(

on the Hagerty's... Its OK I have had far better luck with Grundy, plus they offer unlimited mileage.
On parting it out... It's totaled and in Florida you cannot buy your own vehicle back.
It just so happens that their offer has drastically increased after their insurance company spoke with my lawyer.Originally posted by VivekI was wondering about the penis too.
