    Lauren Kornacki walked out into the garage to find her dad crushed under his 525i after a jack slipped. Screaming, she hurled the car off her dad, but he still wasn't breathing. Good thing she'd taken a CPR refresher course two days before.

                                                  +1. I throw my whole body weight at a car once it's up on jack stands (with the wheels still on)

                                                  If I can't knock it off the stands when I'm standing up, I figure, no matter how hard I wrench on it under it, I won't be able to apply the same force with just my arms working under the car - so I know I'm safe.

                                                          My idiot friends never use stands. I always tell um to use stands & a tire block. They explain that if it can hold up a car I'll be fine. I tell them i'll be visiting them at the hospital
