Euro 95 M5 floating big brakes detail

I spent a few hours this weekend doing a full tear down on my Euro 95 M5 brakes. After removal of rims, calipers, carriers, pads etc they were then completely bead blasted using glass bead and then finished off with high temp paint in cast iron gray (wanted just a shade darker than the lowers) and then reinstalled.

They have looked like this since the day the car was imported in 2002 from Germany and I have always wanted to do a detail but just never got around to it. This weekend it happened and stoked to have it looking proper.

Check out the date code on the factory E34 M5 M Parallel..

    Final results...

Nope. It does have manual sport seats and just a couple select options so it is probably one of the lighter late model M5s that were made.

Nice to finally see some detailed pictures of that brake setup. I have the late model 850ci setup on my M5 Touring and it can stop on a dime if I really lay into it. Fantastic brakes they are.
