You can cut your N. American valance to accept the Euro turns and foglights. Check out that http://speed.academy/bmw-e28-euro-bu...ersion-part-1/. With your shop you can do it even better than pstl-pete did. The big bumpers do serve a purpose though.
I had to buy it

I removed the rear panel tonight. It took about three hours. I took some pics but for some reason I can't get them from photobucket to here. I think it's got something to do with adobe flash player not being current. Maybe I can get my wife to fix it tomorrow.sigpicComment

I got a chance to work on the car this weekend. I managed to get the engine out of the volvo in about six hours, so I turned my attention to the fiver.

I still have quite a bit of work to do, including some more removal. I don;t like the look if the left side structural piece above the subframe rail. It has a line of rust along where it seems to the floor. The sides still need a little trim work and massaging. And the lower portion of the panel in the corners will need some metal removed and then some new stuff added. I'll be picking up some metal from a local supply house this week and then trying my luck at hand forming some stuff. I have a small brake for the structural pieces on the inside of the panel. They don't come with the new panel and BMW wants $300 a piece for them. They are nothing more than some sheet metal bent into a channel and flanged to provide a spot to weld them in.sigpicComment

Nope, been working on a volvo tranny swap. That's finished now so we should see some progress in the following weeks.sigpicComment
