Here is the newest addition to the German Audio Specialties line, the E28 12" subwoofer:
The face of this box has a foam gasket under the upholstery which seals the bass completely into the car when it is properly installed. This gives you far better sound quality and much higher efficiency, allowing the use of much less power than typical "Car Stereo Shop" boxes. Ultimately, you get even more satisfying bass.
The port tubes couple firmly to the ports in the box, again, to seal all of the bass into the cabin. That is a primary goal of ours, we want to get that sound to your ears, we never want to waste energy rattling your trunk lid.
The other major advantage is that this will add virtually no rattles to your car. Unbelievably, the sound is also kept inside the car to an amazing extent...until you roll down a window or open the sunroof.
If you are looking for quality of sound, this is what to do. Nothing compares to the sound that our boxes produce. This is all about the clarity of the bass: deep clean articulate thunder. Even with 200 watts on a $60 woofer, you will hear incredible levels of detail in the lower frequencies at shocking volumes.

This is a 2.2 cubic foot box tuned to 32Hz, which will yield amazing bass response in your E28. You will have no trouble having bass response all the way down to a usable 20Hz, seriously.
Plus, this box is a precise fit to your car. As you can see here, there is a step in the face of the box to clear the body reinforcement:
(no, that little glitch won't be on yours, messed up with the new router setup)
Your car will require some fairly serious modifications. You will need to make 2 3.5" holes in the rear deck. We will provide you a template that will make that chore easier:
What there will be no template included for is the hole behind your skipass. This is a 13" hole that needs to be pretty carefully cut, but your seat will hide any mistakes:

These boxes are available in black or gray (near perfect match) and there will be a matching amp rack available soon. If you plan on using one of our amp racks, I highly recommend buying a black box, as the amp rack uses the box itself as the background. All gray looks OK, but it is much nicer if the inside of the amp rack is black.
Pricing: The box will be $300 plus shipping in black, or $325 plus shipping in gray. (the gray carpet is MUCH more difficult to work with).
