    FS: 1986 528e 5sp in Savannah GA.

    $1800
    Working on the Ac!

For sale is a 1986 BMW 528e 5sp. I bought it 2 years ago as my very first E28. I wanted a vintage BMW that could seat 4 people comfortably at highway speeds so this was it! This vehicle is easy to work on, parts are cheap and so are the taxes and insurance.
It is a daily driver so the mileage is subject to change.
I have done a lot of maintenance to this car and it drives well. When purchased it had a valve tap from a worn cam lobe so I rebuilt the head with a "like new" cam, and put a new timing belt, pulley, water pump, front main seal on it. The seats were recently recovered in a blue vinyl similar to the original color. It has had a quality respray by the previous owner in the factory color. I would give it a 8 out of 10 due to some scratches and a very small dent in passenger door.
Everything works as far as I know with the exception of the AC (however compressor, fan, condenser, and lines are present), radio, and the fog lights. All gauges function!!

    Items replaced:

Engine: Cam, headgasket, head bolts, complete head gasket kit, valve seals, valve seats/head cleaned, water pump, timing belt, timing idler pulley, front main seal, radiator hoses, distributor cap, rotor, washer pump, afm intake boot, idle air control hose, oil fill cap, radiator,

    Brakes, nothing needed.
    Exhaust, nothing needed,
    Suspension, nothing needed.
Interior, Replaces all seats with recently recovered items. New shifter knob, lighted window switches, headlight switch, E36 shifter.
Exterior, tucked bumpers, painted bumpers, repainted grills, mirrors, new tires, tail lights sealed,

Few more pics on the link.
Im still driving it back and forth to work. Even for a "little" 2.7 it still is fun to drive. Why did I waste so many years with VW!

The back seat does not match, the rear portion is black. Tires are excellent. $1800

That would be a little more realistic place to start your offer, assuming you actually were interested in selling it...
...what hasn’t been done to an m20 yet?
