Well I think I may want to try for a future project car that would be a little more cool and memorable than an automatic 528e. I am thinking in the future more along the lines of an M5 or something else.
That being said, are there any parts people may be interested in? Sorry the cluster and all cruise control components are taken by the wife.
Good things:
-the engine is pretty strong, but could probably use a rebuild. runs very smooth though.
-transmission leaks but is strong. shift a little odd when the pedal is pressed but it seems to be more of a kickdown cable issue rather than a transmission issue
-good electrical. The harness is in good shape. the windows and power seats and sunroof work. The HVAC is the weakest point.
-minimal rust
-decent 14" bottlecaps
-decent brakes
-exhaust seems pretty quiet
- i dunno what else
bad:
-some floorboard rust
-no interior or decent usable interior parts other than windows. no door cards or rear seats or carpet
-looks like ass
