    CA: E28 M5 For Sale

    Hello,

I'm testing the waters with my e28 M5. The car was purchased from a my friend at Auto Heaven in Sacramento Ca. He got it from an auction not running. He replaced the fuel lines, fuel filter, fuel tank, spark plugs, fan clutch, and got the car running. I purchased it from him with 155,xxx miles on it. I'm selling it because I thought I would daily drive it but this car is just to nice to daily everyday. Now it sits and barely gets driven. This M5 is #257 out of 1,342 imported. Hand built.

    Pros:
    Clean Title
    All original
    The car pulls super hard.
Brand new painted hood (needs to be wet sanded and buffed)
Brand new Sport Bilsteins in the front with new top hats and bearings.
    Tires have 75% tread
    Everything works
    Heated Seat
    New battery
    No rust
    All tools

    Cons:
Dash has numerous cracks (I have Bavauto custom mat)
    Front seats a little worn
ODO stopped working on my way from DMV right after purchase
    Exhaust has a small leak
Don;t have much docs but have a few receipts.
    trim needs some love

Overall its not a show car. I had the intention to work on it more but cant find the time to get things sorted out. This car is VERY rare and you will definitely have a tough time finding another one.

Thinking about ~$9,500 obo. Open to offers.
    Please call or text 916-996-8832

    Before painting the hood

I can provide additional pics upon request. Thanks

Nice to see a slightly weathered (read: driven) E28 M5.

I'm waiting for these cars to follow the E30 M3's lead (considering it's the first M5 and all.) Talk about a great car as a potential investment.

        GLWS.

Don't wait, once they increase in value as collector cars it will be too late. Buy one now and ride the elevator to the top!

Thanks man. I really wish I can hold on to this but I'm still in College and I'm 21 and married. :) I don't have time to treat this car as it should be treated.

I'm in college too, and I'm in the process of trying to pick an e30 shell to track. I also already have an e28, not m5 though :(

If any one has questions I know the car and we owned it before Jimmy got it.
Too sad that it's for sale. Great daily car here that could be show worthy with a few touches.
