I have done my best as a BMW enthusiast to present a reasonable view and expectation of what you will see when you see this car in person with no surprises. Keep in mind this is a sub $3k bmw luxury sport sedan that sold for ~$40,000 new and still drives like a $40,000 car should. Please take the time to read through the ad as the car is a bargain at these depreciated values. The 5 series is a joy to drive and is very classy. These cars go well over 300k miles regularly this one has hundreds of thousands of life left with an owner that treats it well.

No Accidents or Paintwork, clean Carfax
Exterior:
EXTREMELY clean exterior and paint with only one 2" dent in left front fender that can easily be massaged out by a painless dent repair guy
All rub strips are undamaged
Lights are all uncracked including the fog lights and glass ellipsoid headlights.
Wheels have original chrome flaking.
Crack in windshield but not in drivers field of vision satelite $200 to replace if you desire.
No rust present.
Clear coat is in great shape, a rarity on metallic bmw paint of this age.
Interior:
Black Leather Seats dash and headliner in great shape.
Only one 1.5" tear in drivers seatback otherwise below average seat wear.
Interior is clean and odor free.
Original spare tire and jack present.
AC tested working but needs a recharge quoted at $99
Rear window regulators need a helping hand to roll the windows back up fronts work fine
Panel covering sunroof motor missing
All power functions work on both front seats, and telescoping steering wheel.

Interior lights work
Driving:
Brakes stop the car impressively well and very smooth, ABS also works
Car shifts confidently through all gears including the steptronic sport mode, reverse takes a second
No vibrations or shudders at any speed
No warning or check engine lights on dash
Cruise control works
Shocks and handing are firm and comfortable
Headlights, Taillights turn signals and fog lights all work
Mechanicals:
The car is in overall good running condition when I took the car for an oil change this week I had a BMW certified master technician do a pre-sale inspection.
Please keep in mid all old BMW's mark their spot.

Small leaks from power steering lines

I have priced the car $1500 under blue book for r3v at $2420 to account for the fact that it will need a tuneup and/or a catalytic converter $450 installed to pass smog and registration expires this month. Upon your purchase I would be happy to get you set up with my mechanic to complete the work you desire to have a safe well maintained car with up to date tags. Buyer is responsible for smog and 2015 registration at this discounted price.
This is a great car I will be happy to consider reasonable offers IN PERSON after experiencing it. I will make exceptions for people traveling more than an hour to see the car.
