FOUND AND BOUGHT E34 535i manual trans driveshaft

So, I'm just feeling around for now (giggity), but my list of parts I'm looking for is as follows:

    E34 535i manual transmission driveshaft

Also need a rear wiper arm plz.

Of course I'm a cheap ass, so please be easy on me. I think I may need to do my engine/trans swap sooner than later.

I believe you'll need a diff as well. I'm not 100% certain but on the M50 motors the input flange for the diff is different between the auto and manual.

Awesome, good luck to you sir. I'd suggest finding clutch line components used. New ones make babies cry.

Got all that covered. I manage the parts dept at an indie shop.

I'm going to take the B35 w/G260 and M5 clutch/FW from my e28 and slam in there for now, that is IF the e34's trans fluid is full. If it's low I'll top it up and put a headgasket on the M50.

I'll work on building my turbo motor with a B34 block while I drive the car. Trying to get out of DDing the Rover.

I read I can also use a 535 auto trans pedal assembly, as it had the space for the clutch pedal. Now I've only seen this at one source, so I'm not sure, also donno why it'd be different from other e34s...

It has a spot for the return spring for the clutch. That is the only difference between auto and manual pedal boxes. I seriously don't understand why BMW did that. Two parts, almost identical. Why not just make one and save money? Oh wait, German engineering ;)

Sounds like a fun project. I'm knees deep in my 5 speed swap now. If you have any questions shoot me a PM.

Now I'm wondering if I can work my welder magic and put in a clutch pedal on my existing box.....

....still would have to remove the box though.

It is a serious bitch with the "impossible bolt". I've decided to just pull the pedal box and steering column as one than remove that bolt. I spent 2+ hours trying chisel/hammer, "damaged bolt" tools, and a dremel to no avail. So far pulling it as a signal unit is way easier. I have a few more bolts and clips then I can rip it out.

Whelp, I no longer need a pedal box and shift support or lever. My friend in MD just so happened to have a 525 5sp he was dismantling when I called him. Pulling the above parts and sending them my way.

                        ^_^

I just did the 5 speed swap taking the pedals out of the auto and manual and found it was easier just to drill the "b-bolt" head off to get the pedals out. Once the head is off you can almost twist it out by hand.
