The stage 1 curt is only good up to 1500lbs. I had one but limited what I could tow.

Now by euro, what do you mean? Detachable? Factory?

Guess I'm just going with a curt. I heard euro ones (maybe factory) have a higher tow rating

i've got a OE euro with detachable ball section. I was going to put it on one of the M5's, but haven't yet. I paid about $400 to get it from the UK. Message me if you're interested, i might let it go.

(maybe message me thru fb, i'm not on here often)

The euro hitch definitely has a higher load capacity. It bolts to the frame as apposed to the spare tire well.

The OEM one is still available, but at a hefty price. I got a quote of $570.
