Looks like a pretty good deal as much as i dislike the color.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

My 2nd e34 came with those wheels, put it on my first e34 and sold them. E39s are nice and comfy, just keep up on maint.

Decent score, too bad it's auto. I would find some used E39 sport package springs and slap those on there and find some 17" wheels.

Also, here is what you have to look forward to w/ engine maintenance. This is one of my current projects. t-chain guides shattered, chain jumped, valves slapped pistons, etc...

I need to see if the chain guides have already been replaced. I need to reseal the valve covers, lower oil pan and change the tranny fluid and filter. I really want a set of M Pars for it, and install some aftermarket projector headlights with xenon bulbs. I promise I am not a ricer, lol. I found out tonite that my headlight adjusters are toast as well, hence the new headlights......

I got tint done, and it looks great. I want an M5 front bumper as the one on it now has a small biff from a previous encounter with a stationary object (thanks PO). One thing at a time.....she will come together nicely.

Cover ALL of the maintanance first, these cars get expensive FAST if you don't pay attention.

The timing guides/chains are less common to go on the earlier m62s supposedly, but its something you should always have an eye/ear out for.

On the earlier M60s. M62b44 same crap as on M62tu.

No kidding on things getting expensive. I've got a 2000 528iT with the sport package and even doing all of my own maintenance, this thing is a money hog. It's sitting at 140K and all of the little things are breaking: window regs, rear subframe bushings, front suspension arms and the A/C just took a dump. It was over 112 degrees here today.

I just got rid of a pristine 1994 FJ80 because I didn't like the 12 MPG I was getting. I'm actually starting to regret it, but when all is said and done, it sure is a capable and nice car.
