Having a few performance issues. I'm going to lay 'em out, let me know what y'all think.
Performance lag when accelerating. This does not happen all the time; however, it happens frequent enought to be problamatic. You hear the engine wanting to go, but no real gains on accelerating.
The idle, with no identifiable trends, will peek up to 1700 rpm's and hold there for minutes at a time before coming back down. Generally, this happens after the engine is warmed up, and will just increase for no identifiable reason. If I hit the gas to try and knock it down, it will just increase the rpm's to which it idles at, usually being around 1700 as the highest.
A couple times the car has stalled when I am slowing down to turn into a parking lot. My foot has been on the clutch every time it has happened. This is infrequent, but nothing scares the crap out of you like trying to turn a school bus in a tight spot.
I will occasionally smell fuel and have some exhaust pops. Not running a cat and have Mark D chip due to previous drive train being an Auto. The chip eliminates the hesitation the brain creates for auto-shift. Supposedly the Mark D chip is suppose to run a bit richer.
Could my problem be the AFM? Got a way to troubleshoot this or identify what is the culprit? Let me know what you think.
