    e34 cassette deck

I'm trying to use one of those cassette adaptors to run my smart phone. But the cassette seems to be continuously loading. Any recommendations on a fix, other than ripping it out. Not trying to spend money on a stereo.

if it is a cheap adapter that doesn't spin both spools, this will def. happen.

Do yourself a favor: cut the cord of that adapter and hardwire it to the deck. Tons of diy instructions on it and i have it on my e39. Works amazing.

This. Likely as not the drive belt in your deck is bad and will do nothing but click back and forth for days. Most all 20 year old decks are bad belts, as they deteriorate by simply sitting on a shelf, not even thinking of being in a car for 20 years...

Why not stop beating your head against the wall and get a decent deck? $125 at WalMart gets you a decent Pioneer deck with USB, Bluetooth, matching colors, WAY better sound quality...is $125 really all that much to spend on getting some happy instead of the bullshit you are now dealing with?

Hell, with that deck you can make cell calls hands-free, you can be all special and shit!

        LOL

New decks look really out of place in old BMW's. I would love to find a decent deck that looked closed to original, because let's be honest old stock decks sound like shit.

I got an old e34 deck and while it's not the best sound quality, it looks like it belongs.

I have yet to see any wiring diagrams or DIY for any E30 Radio for direct aux line-in hookups.

Could you point me to a few?
