Weird Charging Issue. Boost after 3k rpm. NEED HELP ASAP

Hey guys,

My cars charging system has been acting weird lately. Once you start the car, everything slowly dies out and once you rev the engine to around 3k RPM and everything is back to normal. What is going on? I replaced the alternator and the battery is next on the list.

What else can it be?

Have you ckd for a good ground from alt to chassis.

Use a jumper cable clamped to alt and chassis, if problem is gone that was it. (Replace ground from alt to engine, engine to chassis)

May sound stupid, but Make sure your belt is on tight.

also, was the alternator you replaced it with known to be good and bench tested under your ownership? certainly wouldn't be the first time that someone has replaced a part and ruled it out just because they replaced it.

I'll check the ground. The alternator was rebuilt, it was bench tested also.
