    '92 525i to m30b35 HELP!

Is all that's needed for this swap:
    - Engine
    - Tranny
    - Driveshaft
    - Diff
    - Ecu/fuse box/wiring outside of firewall
    - Radiator/coolant res
    - Brake fluid/power steering res

    What else is needed?

About to put the engine in, need to know before I dive in.

You missed a big one, exhaust.

You are guaranteed to miss some small things, so just start the swap and it will become obvious as to what else you need.

also, clutch/flywheel, and you may need to convert the electronic throttle to mechanical.

Its not eml as far as I know. I have exhaust. I'm mainly co cerned about wiring. How much of the wiring do I need? Do I need to get into the dash?

no offense but why? a complete solid running 535 cost less than the parts to swap... only $1500-2000

(probably bc a 535 gets the worst mpg of all e34 variants, about same as full size suvs city)

don't forget the ac compressor etc you have to swap also.
Read mr projects thread n bfc.

What parts to swap? I have wrecked 535i and clean 525i.. where I live, ac isn't a big concern

Ok, so tale The donor car and strip erything off that's different. Think the engine bay bracketetry is different as well, and those you have to cut off and weld in.
Have you read the m30 into a touring thread on Bfc?
There have been a few done, but unless it is to create a 535iT, you are way better off getting the proper roller to begin with in terms of time and money.
Eta 2 months, $$$ 2k in sundries and time spent.
Basically swap everything from the core support to the diff.
