e34 530i electrical issues

Hey guys my dad's e34 has a few issues they include:
- the doors unlocking when the indicators and brakes and used in conjunction with each other
- when the wipers are being used and the indicators and brakes are used they stop the wipers for a second or two...
- keeps coming up with messages such as brake light, and a few others can't remember exactly what.....

and i was wondering if this was a common problem or an isolated one because once when the messages came up another auto elec said that it was the module and we got a second hand for like $500..dont know if its this or do you guys have any suggestions, cause we have taken it to an auto elec and they seem to be unable to find what's causing it

Check the wires in the trunk hinge. Probably frayed.

Sounds like symptoms of bad LKM, grab one on eBay.

If I were you, I would pull up the back seat and clean the hell out of the ground points first, the stuff you are describing has only the ground in common.

For example, the wipers and the brakes have only ground in common, there is not one fuse or module anywhere that is connected to both.

There are a few ways to clean copper, but a normal pencil eraser works best.
