Manual trans swap- what parts off e36

Sourced a donor e36 m3 for its s52 in my e34 touring. Wondering what parts are good for the swap? Can I take the trans and the driveshaft? And long shot but would the pedals bolt up? Or is the car only good for the motor/flywheel/pp/clutch and slave?

Sad to say but the car is only good for the motor, flywheel, clutch, and tranny. The drive shaft is the wrong length and the pedals are different.

yer gonna have to find a diff, driveshaft, pedal box, hard lines, maybe shift linkage on top of that stuff to get it running...

the e34 g260 and zf 310 cars have compatible driveshafts;

96mnm guibo same length.

the e34 driveshafts come in both 84mm cv and 96mm cv rears. same for the diff 6 bolts.

Usually the 525i manuals and 535i manuals will have the 96mm cv to diff.

the g260 and ZF310 e34 shift linkages also interchange; transmission mount will also interchange with a massage. the angles of m20+g260 and M50+zf are identical; the gearbox lengths and guibo also interchange.

I know the one car i built with my own hands used one happily;

I built a e34 touring s52b32 +5 speed 98 m3 gearbox (zfsg320) in 2008, I used a e34 G260 driveshaft.

g260 driveshafts are used with zf gearboxes in e30's all day long if the guibo is the correct specs - revshift sells a guibo for adapting the 84mm and 96mm sizes.....

Ahh yes I was just thinking about it. LOL why bother when the correct driveshaft is cheap - mine was $100

why even bother manual swapping a E34 at all when it comes with 5 speed original? that was my next move after building one; the e34 post was all done up with ground control coilovers and original manual zf

Ya; ive built 1 and assisted with putting the engine from my old e39 540i-6mt into another:

532it with s52 and zf 5
544it with m62 and getrag 6
