hey guys, last night parked my car but for some ridiculous reason didn't think to put it back in park, and i turned it off and took the key out, I thought it was odd that the key came out while the car was still in drive, but i didn't think much of it and put it in park and left it. came out later last night and turned the key and nothing happened, doesn't even feel like the ignition has any "settings" anymore (i.e. no accessory position, etc.), key just turns with no resistance and stops where it should normally but the car doesn't do anything, and I can't get it out of park. Help!

Probably a bad ignition switch and/or lock. -
yeah I'm thinking i broke the ignition lock...does anyone know how much they cost, how long it'd take to get one and if its possible to have one coded to the key I currently have? I can't afford to pay for a new key and I don't want to have to get all new door locks too, car is a beater...thanks."Once more into the fray."
