Differential and transmission oil

what’s the latest consensus on what type and brand oil to use for the rear differential oil and automatic transmission for 89 325.

I can’t speak for the auto trans but I just bought some royal purple maxgear 75w-140 that I’m going to use in my 87 325 LSD and in my e36 328 diffs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Redline also sells D4 ATF for automatic transmissions, but most regular ATFs should work.
