You would probably need to rewire it back to standard to remove the johnson box, as i assume if it doesnt get a proper 02 sensor reading it will still screw with the coolant sensor signal.
if it were me id remove that Johnson thing, fix the wiring so its all oem euro and plug the o2 sensor bung. the catalytic converter will still do a good job. assuming this is enough to pass your smog test or whatever.
