    M20 throttle body not fitting

I just put a new intake manifold on my m20b25 and it has that metal hose sticking out so I am unsure how to make the throttle body fit, any tips would be greatly appreciated it. thank you

That's an ETA intake manifold I believe. Are the runners fat or skinny?

thank you for the response, they are skinny. its on an m20b25 block does that mean I'm gonna need a new throttle body or intake manifold?

If you have an "i" 2.5 m20 then that is the wrong intake. But if you have a ETA then that is the right intake. But I believe that you have the wrong intake for your set up. What year E30 do you have? What does the rear badge say? What is the number on your Head say? Is it 885, 200, or 731?

Go to o'reilly's or whatever - they have adapters 2 - 2.5", whatever the case may be for custom setups. Stepped down, and all that.

His issue, I believe, is it's the wrong intake manifold for that version of M20. I believe he has an "i" and trying to use a eta intake with a "i" throttle body. I could be wrong about what engine he has.

Yea I think you are right, the engine is out of a 1989 325i so I am going to put my old intake manifold back in tomorrow. I appreciate the help
