    Switching to E34....

That's right, selling the 318i and picking up a 91 535i 5 speed. I'm not betraying you guys, I still have my cabriolet. This is the plan for now anyways. Anyone know of any good E34 forums????

what up with the 318i? Just asking. Cuz I make the WL -> Indy trip way too often to be getting 22mpg. Filled up Friday, did again yesterday......

      I know http://www.bmwe34.net/ is good. I wouldn't mind a E34 DD, but would prefer a M50 525 over 535.

Yeah i will have the 318i pics up soon. it got 28 city/35 highway, driving lightly.

        Why M50 525 over 535? doesnt the 3.5 pump out 210 hp?

Is this Ely's blue 318? How much?

I like the smooth 525 for DD over the noisy and somewhat old school M30. I didn't have a great experience driving a 535iA around. Just seemed to be loud, without a whole lot of grunt.

Plus, if you ever get rear-ended, you have a good place to stick the M50 easily. ;)

That is a good site.....lots of helpful info. An E34 would make a nice DD. I wouldn't mind the M30 powered variant one bit so long as it had a 5-speed in it. Sure the M50 is more tunable for added power, but a properly maintained M30 is bulletproof. 300K+ miles no sweat.

Plus a TCD M30 powered e34 would be a hell of DD.

Blue? I sold him a Polaris metalic 318i. The only blue e30 I've had was an 84 lapis blue parts car.

there is plenty you can do to an m30 to get power. since his is a 91 it has the latest and best m30 engine. they are easy to maintain (especially if you have experience with an m20) and can make some serious power with the right mods. stock they make decent power, a chip does a lot to them.

m50 is a great engine also. our old e34 525i had the m50 and it was great.

Hum you want to sell it back to me for the same Price I sold it to you for
I'm glad you made it look nice, I just didn't want to take the time. If I hadn't had my 88 then I may of.
