Yes. All PS2 software is in DVD format, and it'll play all regions of DVD.
    wow. So it's region free?

I dont think PS2 was, i guess thats an improvement for the PSTwo. Will it play burned Movies and games too?

Heh, my first thought is easier for car installations :P
speaking of which, the E30s have pretty big glove boxes, the PSTwo would probably fit right in, without any cutting. . . Maybe I should get a monitor in my car
      And some dub deuces.

I took out my glovebox a LONG time ago, and still haven't messed with putting it back in :P

December 14th. Count on it, since its oddly so close to Christmas...even though it isn't going to be online now... :x

EDIT: Also, the most recent version of the old style PS2 has DVD-R and DVD+RW capabilities, so yes it can play burned copies of DVD's. And the HDD is now obselete with this new design...as is the Modem pack and other stuff...but the modem is built into the new PSTwo...

The Dreamcast was already out, and they knew that Microsoft was looming on the horizon with the XBOX. They used a lot of shortcuts, and didn't take the time to engineer lots of parts properly, that's why PS2's are always crapping out. This new PS2 is a redesign of the first, meant to be what the original one was supposed to be when it was first released.
A lot of early Play Stations shit the bed to.. I think. Maybe that was only with mod chips I forget now.

At any rate this pstwo looks alright but my ps2 works fine.

                  Sold it.

With the Best Buy warranty (if you bought it at Best Buy, a $20 fee), you can return your old PS2 no questions asked, and the company will send you a "check" for how much you paid for it, which is Best Buy money...

So when I returned my first one due to problems, I got $300 back, bought the PS2 when it was $200 so I had $100 left over for games and such. Then when the Modem Pack came out I did the same thing, got a free game again since it was $150, and now I'll return my new one AGAIN and simply go buy the new designed PS2.

Pretty damn good warranty if you ask me.

My PS2 is on it's way out. I've had it less than a year (last christmas), and it struggles to read a lot of games and seems to 'skip' every now and then. Not too thrilled with the quality, my original playstation, on the other hand, worked fine for 2-3 years w/o problems. (shrug)

I am suprised you actually cashed in on their warrenty. They are pretty gay with how they conduct theirselves in that matter.
