folks said the same thing about 2002s, about 15 years ago. you're lucky to find a beater 75/76 2002 for $15k today.

No doubt this is true, but I assume I'll feel the same in 15 years about a clapped auto M10 e30 as I feel about $15k beater '02s today.

BMW is not making any more E30s and it’s already hard these days to find a clean unmolested one that isn’t a rolling trash can like OP’s car or one that doesn’t need tens of thousands in work to be something nice. It’s even harder to find one in the spec you want (e.g. single stage black, chrome trim that isn’t blacked out, M20 that isn’t swapped out, etc). That’s probably why people are shitting on OP and his car. And these are BMWs - cars that tend to attract people with “asshole” personalities - so there’s another reason.
