Rear seat interchange - will a cabrio back seat fit in a coupe?

I'm re-doing an '86 Coupe, and I prefer the look of the sculpted rear seat of a Cabrio. Are they interchangeable? Thanks for any help.

I think it will be too narrow and leave a gap each side. I also liked the horizontal style so just found an M3 rear seat to stick in!

Short answer is no they aren't. Besides the fact they are narrow, the seat back mounts completely different. I'm sure they can be made to work but then perhaps it would be better to start with a coupe/sedan seat in the first place. I've seen those converted to the M3 style by modifying the foam. I think someone in europe even makes new reproduction foam.
