    testing amplifier

I'm trying to fix my sound system and am struggling with diagnosing the amp.

I've followed all the wiring and am able to get sound if I disconnect the amp and jump the speaker input and output wires at the amp connector (essentially bypassing the amp) I also validated that the amp is getting 12v.

I assumed that the amp is faulty so I bought another used one from eBay but I'm still not getting any sound.

So either both amps (my old one and the one I got from eBay) are faulty or there's something else I'm missing.

is there any way to test the amp?

What is the year and model of your car? Which headunit are you using?

Which headunit though? It should be an anti-theft unit. I'm curious if the headunit was swapped.

it's the CM5905 Anti Theft Unit. I know it's been swapped but it produces sound.
