You are lucky. It could have happened on the freeway going much faster. Or hit an on coming car instead of a curb. I am anxious to see how the arm failed. Many people have these arms installed and this thread could potentially save cars, even lives.Leave a comment:

thanks for all the ideas guys yea ill try to get pics up on it. im waiting for the new control arm to come in. yes it was a aftermarket one from FCP Groton. im guessing the car doesnt crank cuz a ground wire. plus i tried it for a quick second i dnt want to over heat it so im going to inspect my oil pump. ill keep u guys updated on the progress if any is made.Leave a comment:

I would like to see it as well (where and how it broke).Leave a comment:

dayuum. i believe the ball joint popping out and causing that... i saw it happen at an auto-x once, but broke in half from driving normally....idk. you need to inspect the pump when you take off the the damaged oil pan. i'd rather replace that $130 part now than later and have to drop the oil pan again.Leave a comment:

Thus the reason every PPI and track tech inspection includes inspecting the control arms.Leave a comment:
