Im glad you asked that Rob... Any of the above.. I have a set of bilstein sports that im gonna be getting rid of when I get my set so if any one is intrested in a trade + cash let me know.
edit:I want the whole set but I can live with just the rears. God damn we have some cool guys on this forum.

If you want the D/A's you can also use ones off of fox body mustangs and a few other cars if memory serves.
I dont think shox.com carries the DA's a good idea would be to contact Koni-NA directly. I have a friend that works for them and they always have some used pieces around that you can pick up if you ask at the right time.

Im gathering more info on the shocks that I need for my stiff ass GC's and Im told that the single adjustables will be enough for the 450 front and 650 rear springs? If this is true than ill settle with the SA's.
Eric... I looked through the sets that ebay was selling and almost bid on a set for a 84 VW. Seems to me that a couple different applications will work as long as they will bolt up to the trailing arm properly. Is this true? Thanks for your help man.
P.S... I wont hesitate to to buy a used set so let me know if you got em guys.

There are many applications that will work on the rears as they are the basic strut. Some might need you to add a small spacer for clearance, but most will bolt right up.

SAs are likely plenty stiff, I know with mine cranked up the ride is pretty punishing, that's with only H&R sports for the ix (not 650lb/inch for sure!). SAs let you adjust the rebound, although compression goes up a bit too. DAs, of course, let you adjust both rebound and compression.
you probably won't need to crank them all the way up anyway, but to give you an idea at full stiff it's nearly impossible to pull the bastards back out.
