    My E30 Journey

Hello, hello! I have been contemplating picking up an E30 from someone I know. It is an interesting opportunity because the e30 is my dream car. The woman who wants to sell it to me wants to see it go to someone who will love it and keep it forever. It was her husbands and it was love, he imported it from an importer in TX. They were the first owners and kept it the whole time. I told her I am not in the best position to make a purchase like this and discussed with her what her car is probably worth. I also told her I would be more than happy to help her sell it to get what it is worth. She really sees how much I love these cars and wants me to buy it. She told me whatever my budget is she will make it work. I am not hard up for money, I just feel irresponsible with other financial obligations in my life. I think I am going to take her up on it and make her an offer. I wanted to join this forum and make a post in regards to it to kick off what will hopefully be a beautiful journey.

So about the car! It is an 1985 323i imported from Germany according to the owner. It has 233k miles on it and has not run or driven in three years since her husband passed. It appears all orginal outside of the cheesy cold air intake and the hi-fi cassette player (honestly might leave and buy some cassettes lol)

The car is certainly a project car and needs some love despite how clean these photos look. Lets start with the interior. There is some mold in the back seat, mouse debris and chew in the seats, and there is a pretty pungent mold and must smell. I plan to reupholster and sanitize EVERYTHING.

Keep sharing. Very cool car & deserving of a refresh. Never seen Recaro backseats. Too bad about the mice & mold but you seem motivated to attack it!
