Awkward when you see an e30 with a non-enthusiast?

I have always found it sad how to most people a car is nothing more than an appliance. They only think about the appliance when it doesn't work. These are the people who should buy Hondas and Toyotas because they will drive an e30 until the timing belt breaks and then they leave it to rot.sigpic

I did however get a wave from a middle aged woman in an e36 325i, who then tried to race me.... I won.

you know, upon reading this I realize it's been 2 years since I've driven an e30. My last e30 dd was my alpine 325is that I sold 2 years ago around this time. e32, e34, now e36 for dd.
But when I drove my touring, (also been a couple years) I actually got sick of all the attention it got! e30 enthusiasts, bimmer enthusiasts, other german car owners, (dubs, audis) even old people who didn't know a thing about cars. That thing got SO MUCH attention (most people pointed out its rarity, even if they weren't familiar with how rare. just "never seen one of those in my life"). I actually started to get sick of it, part of the reason why I didn't mind it being stuffed in the garage the first year.
But I LOVE it when I see an e30 and they're an enthusiast (even though I'm in an e36 obv). I can't WAIT to get back into an e30 (which I am doing in a couple weeks when my touring gets picked up). then I just have to wait for my e36 m3 to part out so I can recoup some more funds and get back in the saddleOriginally posted by bluntcan you get me a deal on cases of their (fiji) bottled water? i wash my 02 in that shit
