Awkward when you see an e30 with a non-enthusiast?

Yesterday I went into a grocery store in my e30 and came out to see a clean 318is parked a few spots away. I drove up to it really slow, checking it out. I entered the spot next to it, rolled down my windows, and looked at the driver. It was an older lady and she looked somewhat creeped out that I pulled up to her. I just drove away without saying anything. Anyone else ever have someone do this to you?

nope, every once in a while ill see a car that looks almost exactly like mine did before i krauted it out and sometimes ill get a wave or something. usually if im driving in the same direction near another e30 i try to get away from them cause its just kinda awkward

There are a few E30's that roll around where I live, absolutely none of the ones i come across are enthusiasts. They are either rice, or not cared about. It really bums me out to see all of them, and know their owners dont care about their car.

Yeah, there's only about 5 around me and two of them are owned by the same guy. He's probably an enthusiast he has a clean m and an i just sitting in his yard. I might put a
r3v flyer on his cars becuase I've never seen him or the cars on the road.

There are a few on campus near here, and I once parked next to one at the video store... the guy and his buddy walked out and his buddy was more excited than the driver was.

Just about every time I see another E30 I say, "nice E30 you got there, any plans for it?" and they usually look at me like I called them a dirty hooker.

Bums me out when someone doesn't know what they have.

everytime i see one i just say ill give you 500 for it, no one is an enthusiast around here, if they are, i know them.

i hate when you do the old school high beam flash when you pass one and they just look at you like your dumb. that pisses me off. corvettes get a wave, why cant i get a high beam flash.

I once managed to park in between two alpine convertibles. Both were owned by some of the rudest looking women I've ever seen in my life.

99% of the E30s I see are not owned by enthusiasts, so no.

It's weird if I SEE an E30. Most have been claimed by rust. So the ones that remain are driven by weird old folks, girls who got shafted and got their mother's E30 instead of a Volvo S70, or young punks like E30SPDFRK, mikeday1036, or RedHoodRidah.

Almost all the E30s I ever see are driven by people 50 or older.

a few weeks ago i went to Lowes to pick up some stuff and i parked across a super clean 318is. as im coming out i saw the owner and said "nice e30" he said "huh? oh yea, this. its just my winter car, my good car is a mercedes."...the bastard
