Correct M Tech Shift Knob and Boot?

Hey, folks. Looking to get an M Tech shift knob and boot for my 1990 325is, but not sure which is the correct one or how many there were. I know the early M Tech knob/boot for the M3 (PN: 25112225873) is the single piece shaped like a golf tee, but all the sites selling it say it doesn't fit my car, which is strange. Is that true? I also found the single piece knob/boot with the ergo knob (PN: 25111221510), but don't know if that is an M Tech. Part of me wonders for the later models it was all the same ergo knob/boot and they just dropped in the M Tech emblem.

Any guidance on this would be great. Thanks!

M-Tech cars were not sold in the USA in 1990.

There were white convertibles in 1991.

If you see new parts from BMW, they are newly made.

Regardless, is the ergo version M tech 2?
