The only thing better than playoff baseball is playoff hockey.

Baseball needs to get off TV, and hockey needs to come back.

Baseball sucks, both playing at watching.

The NHL is going down the drain. You can hardly even get hockey games on broadcast television on the west coast (I've never seen one on TV in Oregon).

Baseball and hockey are a tie for the most boring sports to watch on TV.

I'd say good job yanks, maybe they'll make up for their performances in the past few years with winning the world series this year. Of course I was happy when the Diamondbacks beat them, but those are my two teams. Obviously because I live in AZ (although I can't stand what has been happening to them, ever since they won the world series they have been the worst team in baseball, ohwell) and I have family that lived in NY and I've always liked NY as a city. I don't get too hardcore into profesional baseball, again I'm sorry you think that I am a huge sports fan.

Red Sox played better in the end, but honestly I wanted the World Series to be Yankees and Cardinals but ohwell. Again enjoy one of our pasttimes but remember it's a game.

BETTER??? they played fucking phenominal!!!! you gotta be joking me.... look at it this way - if all things were perfectly equal (which they weren't... the Yankees had the edge by being at home and other things) and each team had a 50% chance of winning a given game then the Red Sox only had a 6.25% chance of winning four games in a row... and less than 1% of professional Baseball, Basketball & Hockey teams have EVER come back to win 4 in a row after being down 3 games to none... hehe, you say they played "better".... i'll fuckin say

Fuck everyone for saying Fuck the Yankees, regardless of how much the ball club spends on its payers, just remember that money has to be made somehow, its made by the yanks winning games and the series.

The amount of money the Yankees spend is just an excuse to rag on the team, people hate the Yankees for the same reason they hate The Lakers, University of Michigan, and Notre Dame (at least where I'm from) because they are consistently good every year. I think people tend to root for the underdog and teams like this end up seeming like bullies. Seeing as how the Yankees are the winningest franchise in any sport EVER, it makes total sense to me why they are hated by most. It should just be more fuel for you Yankee fans to be smug, cocky bastards.
