Just brightened up my day,

I was checkin the oil today, and this lil kid rode by on his bike with his friend trailin behind him. As he rode by he looked in the engine bay and said with bright eyes "awsome..." and to his friend "Hey did you see that engine? I havent seen an engine like that before, it looks awsome!"

They couldnt have been older than 7 or 8 years old but that really made my day. That kind of thing kind of reminds me that I drive a unique car.


I wrote this to hopefully brighten up all the e30 drivers out there

haha, I love the engine bay of the e30. once I clean up the coolant system with a new radiator it'll really look great!

LOL. I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. A neighbor's little kid on his bike told me I had a "cool car" as I pulled up to my driveway. Shit, I'll take any compliments I can get on the car. So far, it's not moved anyone's meter except bimmer geek customers at CMW.

I get quite a few comments about my car, especially the German plates, and it always makes my day.
But once I was in heavy traffic outside a school, I had both windows down, and I spy some kids checking out my car from a tram stop. I saw one say something to the other and they both smile Anyway traffic clears up and I look over at them expecting some smart ass comment as I drive off, and one of the kids yells out "Nice car!" and rolled my eyes! I felt so bad but I had already driven off :( lol

I drove my car around my block yesterday to try to tune out my resets and when I came back around, 3 ppl were standing out of their front door looking at my car as it went past. It wasn't a dirty look either. I got a mild nod of approval. I didn't realize my car was loud enough to tell when I was coming back >_<
