Why is it so hard to find a nice 4 door e30 5spd?

Thinking of getting a decent 4 door e30 5 speed (i or iX) as a daily driver - here in Columbus, OH they seem to be non-existent. Are they this hard to find everywhere?

I can hardly find nice e30s in general.

If you want a good one you are going to have to be willing to come out west to get it or pay big bucks. The desert is much easier on a car than the winters and high humidity where you are from. I have a nice 91 318i FS in Utah. Come and get it!

I drove my 4 door to work today. Granted the car came to me with a non running engine and no real drive train to speak of. Paint is also craptacular. lol...

              Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

I hunted for 1.5 years before settling on mine - and now I have to sell it. Go figure :loco:

Probably not what you are looking for, but PM me if interested.

4-doors tended to be automatics too. Remember who were buying these cars when they were new: Yuppies.

well, good e30's in general are kinda tough to come by at a reasonable price in the midwest. It really sucks, because I'm in the market for a cheap, stock 4-door as well.

Yeah - too rich for me - unless you want an E30 vert in straight trade! :)

Come to SoCal. E30s grow on trees here. All sorts.

Just keep your eyes open. I found one in C-bus last fall for $400, 5-speed, no rust, no sunroof :pimp:

I'm assuming that people looking for the sportier models with manual transmissions, were typically not worried about their friends climbing in the back.

                            Just a guess though.

I see manual coupes all the time, but usually when I find a 4door it's got the automatic tranny.
