    Yours is electric and not hand crank driven correct? If so the motor is above the button you push to open your sunroof.

          well maybe you can find this link useful still..

          BMW sunroofs can be very confusing items if you've never worked on one before, but hopefully this article can help you out the first time around.

            That is probably what i needed. good grief charlie brown i have my plans set for me. Thanks for the the help.


            edit: my mind is melting from studying so bare with me. Crank roofs still have a motor. It seems like my cables have been misaligned because I didn't see any broken parts or hear and snapping. So I must realigned the cables which probably mean going to the motor and putting it back to zero position?
