    No rear seat?

Anyone have pictures of setups without a rear seat? I'm pretty sure I'll just be rid of mine and put carpeting in as finding a black cloth one is pretty well impossible.

That and I never use it, and have to take it out every few weeks to put tires there for auto-x.

I searched and only came up with this thread. Which all the pictures no longer worked.

    TIA.

What the hell, it takes like 34 seconds to pull the damn seat, getcher ass out there and pull it!

I am carpeting the rear seat area on an M3 that is caged soon...couple of weeks or so.

    MAYBE I will take pics.

That's what I did. The rear seats were useless to begin with...even more so with a half-cage welded in.

I thought it looked ugly and unfinished back there. So, I bought a roll of gray outdoor carpeting and cut it to fit over the empty space. Here's a before and after.

          Before...

          After...

The gray is a good match for the stock carpets and new Recaros. Looks better now. Also more practical when you're carrying stuff back there.

Another thing I did was remove the rear seatbelts. There are a couple of 17mm bolts where the lap-belts used to attach. I screwed in some loops...the kind you use with detachable racing harnesses. That gave me a pair of tie-downs for securing a set of track tires wheels. I don't like to drive around with loose stuff knocking around inside the car.

Hahaha, I know it takes just a few seconds to pull the seat. But I'd like something in black cloth, as now the rest of my interior is black cloth instead of tan vinyl it once was and what the rear seat is. I wouldn't mind having a leather one, but I'd prefer cloth or carpet to better match the front seats.

Thanks! Do you have any better pictures? It's kind of hard to see whats going on in those, looks good though.

Don't you have some emissions tests to fail?
