      This.

Like the 40ish lbs in the roof is going to make any difference on anything but a gutted track car. Even then I can't imagine it's THAT noticeable.

I think there is supposed to be a small improvement in chassis stiffness too

and 40lbs all up high can make a difference, more so than 40lbs near the floor

No Sunroof here, Kinda wish I had one. But I see it as another thing that at one point I would have to put money into.

I think a non-sunroof car is the most rustproof E30 out there.

I'm sure you could tell (I really noticed the ~50lbs I took off the front of my car), but not enough that I wouldn't still want a sunroof.

my favorite thing is to open it up on a cold winter day and blast the heat.. or when it's a clear night.

Heh - those are common here.

BTW I just LOVE those "cool" names for lack of things:

                shadow line = no chrome
                slick top = no sunroof

                How about:

                non-stop = no brakes
                ultra low = no wheels
rollin' with the wind = no engine, no brakes, going downhill... fast...

Slick top doesn't just mean no sunroof it can also be sans T tops like in the Nissan Z's. I see how they are more desirable for a track car though.
