    my mistake, I should've been more clear. Traditionally, they're called microcellurlar jouncers and play a big part in the e46 3 series suspension

    I am referring to number 5 on the diagram (325i)



    and number 11 on this diagram (m3)

        On my e46, I used to run Dinan springs which were one coil less (about an inch) than my stock springs on stock shocks, however it yielded a lot more bouncing because it wasn't dampened well (of course that is to say the spring rate is significantly different as well)
        My car had been in the garage for roughly 8 months prior to putting the springs in so I kinda lost reference to what it felt like before.
        I personally do not notice any additional or excess bouncing but I might not be a good judge of handling characteristics compared to some.
        I also do not plan to keep this set up in the long run I just wanted to do something until I can get a proper set up like H&R race or Ground control.
