You never cease to amaze me. In my search for an E30 in the greater tri-state area, I located a post from today regarding a '91 325i. Here's where the fun starts:

"91 325 i to e conversion dolphin grey in good shape 2 door 5 speed black interior."

There's the entire post with no pictures (bolded the hilarious parts). Nothing says awesome like downtuning your engine to an e. Not to mention the rare "dolphin" grey... I thought that was only a one-off color option for the exports to the Easter Island market.

I think we've got a winner on our hands.

OMFG maybe not everyone knows the exact correct spelling of the color code.

And had it ever occured to you that maybe they made a typo with the "i to e" part? Or maybe they swapped in an eta motor for better fuel economy, since money is tight and they didn't want to get rid of their E30?

I think we've got someone who needs to think twice before hitting the "New Thread" button on our hands.

My apologies, I was just pointing out some humor in the listing and I figured the community would appreciate it.

It gets tedious hunting for vintage bimmers, so a find like this tends to put a smile on one's face :)

kinda OT, but how does Craigslist as a company make money? do they?
I was in class today and my teacher was talking about how the federal government had the authority to shut down a profitable company like Craigslist due to some HIV outbreak which was a result of some stranger sex ads on Craigslist lol

As far as I know, they DON'T make money in the conventional internet manner... There are no advertisements for other websites, so no hilarious air-money. Also note their site ends in .org, not a .com for what its worth. However, when certain posts like job postings are made, they due to turn a profit.
