How about when the whole fucking town has 45 degree driveways for everything?

Concrete aprons that go up 45 degrees only to find potholes on the other side. Fucking sucks, but it would even be bad at stock height. That's how I lost my Reiger lip the first time.

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

Ohio is awful especially southern ohio where I live. Already shitty roads + $0 for roads = tons of pot holes.
I do have to say my county has done a decent job keeping up most of the roads, but when there are only 80,000 people in your entire county and its the second largest (land wise) in ohio, there isnt a huge tax base for upkeep.
pot holes + fucked up road on the side of a hill, angled at 30 degrees is FTW.

seriously you all need to visit PA, you accept hitting the smaller potholes just to avoid the bigger ones. Its a lesser of 2 evils kinda deal.

my e30 is low, my old e30 is low, and my e12 will be balls low ( has completely blow shocks right now and i still mange on these roads) and i have never, ever cracked a pan. Get decent springs and learn how to drive and you should never have to worry about how bad the roads are...

New york, New jersey roads are downright atrocious. But honestly, if you pay attention and you dont drive your car like you're on a lifelong audition for "Transporter 4", you can manage.

i've never had a big issue.. until i almost got side-swiped.

PA interstates aren't too bad, but i haven't spent much time anywhere else in anything but an suv there.

My VW had a 3" drop for 3 years in Detroit - where there aren't any truck weight restrictions ( and the city has no money) = the roads are torn the fuck up daily by double trailer trucks carrying factory machinery.

                    No excuses.

Ride height doesnt really matter there. You hit a bump at a significant speed, you'll f*ck something up.

Mucci is correct, nothing compares to Detroit. My family was there for a few of the NAIAS shows and we even noticed potholes on the effin' runway.
