Who cares what the legal age is? Everyone starts drinking when they're young anyway, regardless of the law :P

15 to start getting your drivers license in NZ.. by the time your 16 and a half you can have a full license - which means you could drive any where in the world on that.

16 is legal age of consent but a 16 and a 14 year old can legally have sex also (new 2 year gap rule). 18 to vote, drive and get married.

Actually, 14 is legal if the other party is ANY age. UNDER 14 is game if the other party is within 2 years of age. Under 18 in general is illegal if they can prove you are in a "position of authority".

Oh, and you can drink at 18 in Quebec.

                    18 legal age to vote
                    19 legal age to drink
When did the drinking age change to 19? When I lived in Alberta it was 18.

Needless to say, I turned 18 about a month before we moved there. I had never skipped more school and been more out of control then that year of my life. Who's to say things would have been different if the drinking age had been the same as the states. I was waaaaaaay too happy about that little bit of Canadian legislation.

The reason you can Vote but not Drink is dumb But I would much rather have the right to vote than being able to have a beer.

If you can die for your country you should be able to vote to voice your opinion. That way if a conflict is coming you might be able to avoid military duty due to the draft.
