    Please explain...

How the hell does Bavarian Auto Recycling get away with asking $8,000 for a beat up parts car?

    -Exhibit A

You could pick up 2, maybe 3, running E30's for the same price... Is there any justification?

they're fucked, I don't see how they stay in business. That car is worth $1K, tops. And their customer service is appalling.

The car is priced high because they don't really care if they sell that car or not. That auction is basically an advertisement for their parts business.

People see the ad and want a specific part off the car so they call the number in the ad sometimes paying a ridiculous amount for the part they want.

This is way for them to advertise on ebay, bring in sales, and circumvent ebay's fees.

Don't they still have to pay a fee to list the auction initially?

It's because there are arrogant/ignorant BMW owners out there that think getting charged out the ass for stuff is getting them better parts/service.

My rule of thumb is this. If it runs/can be driven home it is worth at least $500.00. And conversely, it is worth less if these 2 main conditions can't be met.
