    junkyard wars

I found an 88 325e that has a good rear end on it. The guy wants 300 for the entire rear end(trailing arms, disk brake setup, hubs, diff, etc, etc) Everything from the xubframe back, minus the springs and shocks.

Seems like a pretty decent deal, no?

Also, will the diff be compatible with my 84 318i drive shaft?? Are there any other parts that I would need in order to swap the whole rear end??

    thoughts and comments please

I bought an entire parts car for $100 and then sold it for more.

The diff should fit just fine but unless you have a engine swap it will be slow.
    325e's have a 2.93 diff.

That ratio is way too tall for a 318i. I imagine you are trying to do a rear drum to disc swap? It's not a great price. You can find a better deal. Would be nice if it came with a diff you could resell but that diff is pretty worthless.

I think thats a little high considering most of the parts you are buying are undoubtedly worn out.

            On E30's, 3.73LSD, 3.91LSD, 4.10LSD, 4.27LSD, 4.45LSD. 3.73 and 4.10 being the most common here in the US.
