so the cf "wire cover" doesn't actually cover the "wires"?

anyone used it before and/or have pics?

as a side note, I thought those CF covers were pretty stupid - until I pulled mine to replace the wiper motor. that thing is surprisingly heavy! for such a small peice, I'd estimate somewhere around 8lbs.

But, I'd bet you could come out close to the same weight if you pulled all the sound deadening mat off it. And save a bunch of money.

wow you guys are way off. the picture is of a standard blower motor cover, not the M3/318 wire cover.

OP - that's blower fan cover, the other cover you are thinking about from the e30m3/318is cars go OVER it to hide the wiring.

where'd you get yours from, and whys your battery up front anyway?

Because it's a convertible, look at the sides of the strut towers. Some e30s came with batteries upfront (early 318 cars is another example).
