Why do you think its dumb not to leave the seam sealer?

Because no matter what you do the chassis is going to flex, So if you dont weld up the seams correct or grind them down to far its going to crack and look like shit..

a couple of things here:

1. Change your hose clamps to plastic cable clamps, so the vibration doesn't cause damage to the wire

2. before you use a butt connector under the hood, squirt a dab of silicone in the ends of the connector...waterproof FTW!

1) The clamps got a rubber/foam mat added to them after I got the car back from paint and they are wrapped in that plastic tube shit.

2) The only wires that didnt get the heat shrink conenctors was the big red ones. But they all got heat wrapped after. I no longer have it setup like that since I dont have ABS any more. All of them wire was removed from the whole car..

^ good idea for sure. I always go for soldering and heat shrink because it looks better, is automatically weather tight (assuming you use quality shrink) and it's really satisfying.

What he said was correct, But it was all changed after. I dont have photos of it now but when I take my fenders back off when the car goes to get painted I will snap a few.

Should have been more specific... The guy who owns that car doesnt even live in the states. There is a forum with all the info about his car but I dont remember what it is. I will look later.. Heres some photos when he did the car for the first time. Second time he added skirts and flip front end.

I don't think it necessarily 'originated' with them, muscle cars didn't have enough shit under the hood to even be messy. Last time I looked at a 67 mustang I could sit on the engine and have my feet on the ground because their such simple cars.

You know, he is kinda right, kinda. The idea came out of the Boyd Coddington / Riddler / AMBR / Billet Everything / 80's rod scene. I think thats what he meant anyway.

e30this, I really like what you did re-routing all of the wiring along the frame inside the fenders. I'd love to get my engine bay to that point, maybe one of these days when I really have the car down for a long time for a swap or something.
