Ok I'm digging out this thread. I have engines out and looking for advice on cleaning up engine bays.
1. That black/brown pad on the fire wall... anyone ever removed it? any problems with heat or sound in the cabin after? Thinking of replacing it with heat reflective foil.
2. Tucking wires through driver fender. anything special I need to do? Just drill hole near fuse box, add grommet, secure wires to inner fender and extend ABS wires?
3. A/C lines through passenger fender. Anyone ever do it? I was looking at aeroquip A/c fitting for this and running the lines like the wires on the drivers side. Thoughts?
anything else I should do? I figures this belongs in this thread as these seem to be the questions looks like people wanted answered.e30sport.net

Most of it went into the trash lol I had no a/c, heater, ps, abs and brake booster. deleted it all. brake lines I redid behind the firewall and deleted the brake booster and went manual brakes. Fuel setup was a custom inline filter had a custom milspec engine harness battery relocated to the trunk and headlight harnesses ran through the frame behind the fenders.
