I just a replacement of mine for $150 installed. I opted for the higher grade PPG (US Made) glass. There is a cheaper version (usually China made) I didn't pick named Fumayao or something like that. I had a chance to see both glasses un-installed & the PPG is thicker. Optical clarity was my main concern, that's why I went with the PPG glass.

IMO, this is one of the first things that every new e30 owner should do, as it transforms the driving experience right before your eyes (literally). Well worth the money.

Replacing the front windshield was probably the best money I've spent on my car. I had so many little tiny pits in the glass from the 20 years it had been in there, that driving at dusk looked like i was driving into the fucking sun. Definitely get it done.

I got PPG with a lifetime warranty for $200 installed. I don't really think this is one of those things that's worth doing yourself, even if it is really easy.

^ I got my PPG windscreen with a lifetime warranty back in march for $150 even installed in my driveway.

This is the reason... IT was the most epic hail storm Austin had ever seen.

That Audi dealer had every car on the lot damaged...

I was stuck in traffic, Right in front of the dealership... Shattered my rear drivers window, Destroyed the windshield and dented the fuck out of my car/broke trim all over. But it is all fixed now. I even bought a paintless dent repair kit and fixed the hail damage myself.

I am very pleased with how clear the new window is, And it seems to be pretty hard glass... So far.

That's what I'm talking about, PPG is the brand and with their warranty. Good stuff.

I wonder if I can get the lifetime warranty on my PRO-3 car windshield? LOL

We replace the windshield once a year on the PRO-3 race car. Using the bavauto tool, it's pretty easy. For lubricant we put dish soap in the gasket before putting the filler strip in. Helps the filler strip slide in easier.

I replace my windshield myself. I would recommend replacing the rubber surround and the locking strip. Might as well since they're at least a decade old. Not much too it, theres no glue holding the windshield in. hardest part is putting the locking strip back in

the one have got had a green band on top. Not sure of the brand, but less than 120. So I don't think the green band is anything special
Renting my rear wheel bearing tool kit. SIR
