Pretty rare. Most 318is's have the white/beige like a 325, I can't even count on one hand the 318is's I've seen with black headliners.

I was going to trade my 2 cardinal leather sport seats for one.

I like them, but I dont like how the sun shade doesnt slide alllllll the way back.

I drive with my sunroof open all the time. Sometimes even when its raining. :D

I drive the beater in the winter with the sunroof open. Passengers give funny looks when you stop at a light and tiny flakes fall down into the car ever so peacefully.

I think you were going to trade with jb325is. His '88 325is has a factory moonroof. It's a neat thing to see but for the money I'd rather have the regular sunroof.

Doesn't the glass one weigh like a shitload more than the stock one anyway?

It's not like you'd ever want one on a track car.

And it's not like the weight matters on a street car.

Yeah, not really. But I'd like to shave as much unecessary weight as I can without having to get too drastic, and I have a friend that works with carbon fiber. He has made sunroof panels for a few other cars, and will make one for me for a ridiculously low price, so I'll probably have one made. On my last car, I don't think I opened it ONCE, and if I can knock a few pounds off for cheap, why not?

(No, he won't make a bunch, so don't even ask. )

I don't have a pic ATM but my iS has a dark grey headliner (I'm not sure if this is quite the same as the black that you are referring to but it's definately not white or beige!

Stu, I don't think its quite that dark but its hard to tell as I haven't really looked at it all that closely after the sun has set. In bright sunlight, it doesn't look quite that dark but either way, it is very close :D
